The position
At Toyota Material Handling Europe, we are committed to delivering exceptional service and innovation in material handling. We are now looking for a UX Designer to develop and implement user experience solutions in one of our digital services. In this role, you will work with different development teams to ensure that user interfaces and user experience are both visually engaging and functional. Your work will directly influence how users interact with our products, balancing aesthetics, usability and cost efficiency while maintaining alignment with our brand.

Your Responsibility

* Design and implement user experience for one of our European product ranges, digital services
* Apply user-centered design processes to understand user needs, behaviors and future trends.
* Conduct user research, journey mapping and usability studies to support design decisions.
* Develop new components and maintain a consistent visual identity across the digital service you will be working with.
* Communicate design intent and user requirements to development teams and stakeholders.
* Collaborate with software engineers, product managers and development teams to translate concepts into functional designs.
* Define and follow user interface and graphical design standards to ensure consistency across platforms.



Your profile

* +3 years of experience in UX design or, interaction design
* Strong experience working with design systems.
* Understanding of human-computer interaction principles and best practices.
* Experience applying user-centered design processes while working with customers and stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and other design and prototyping tools
* Strong visualization skills, with the ability to communicate ideas through storyboards, wireframes and prototypes.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to understand user needs and social behavior.
* Ability to work with development teams to implementation and ensuring a high standard of usability and visual design.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and a local language.
* A bachelor's degree in interaction design, graphical design or a related field.

* Skapa ytmodeller utifrån skisser, designmodeller och instruktioner

* Vara delaktig i flera parallella projekt med varierande deadlines
* Bidra till att skapa tidiga konceptmodeller fram till A-ytor för verktygsbeställning

Vi söker dig som:

* Har en ingenjörsutbildning/YH-utbildning eller motsvarande inom design, surface design, teknik eller produktutveckling
* Har grundläggande kunskaper i Alias eller liknande verktyg
* Har viss erfarenhet av CAD-program som Catia V5 - eller är nyfiken på att lära dig
* Är kommunikativ och trivs med att samarbeta över olika discipliner
* Är målinriktad och drivs av att hitta lösningar

The Position

Toyota Material Handling Europe is making significant investments in R&D over the next few years. We are now seeking a Material Designer to join our team. This position is based at our award-winning Design Center in Mjölby.

As a Material Designer, you will focus on next generation materials ensuring our products not only meet high sustainability goals but also enhance user experience. You'll collaborate with a team of designers, engineers, and external partners to drive innovative material solutions that reflect our commitment to quality and sustainability.

Your Responsibilities

* Assist in researching and analyzing existing and emerging sustainable materials, focusing on their environmental impact, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
* Continuously learn and stay current on advancements in sustainable materials, trends, and technologies to support innovative design.
* Collaborate on design challenges, bringing fresh, creative ideas and assisting in the development of sustainable material solutions.
* Perform assessments to understand the environmental impact of material and CMF choices, contributing insights to enhance sustainability throughout the product's development and use.
* Work with external partners, suppliers, and organizations to explore and source sustainable materials and CMF options, supporting the team in building an external network of sustainability experts.
* Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to seamlessly integrate sustainable materials into the product development process.

Your Profile

* Experience in sustainable material development, design or a related role with with a strong understanding of production methods for industrialized products.
* In-depth knowledge of sustainable material sources, processes and technologies, life cycle assessments, and environmental impact considerations
* Proficiency in design software and tools.
* Excellent communication, teamwork and collaboration skills with a passion for sustainability and a commitment to minimizing environmental impact.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

The position
Toyota Material Handling Design Center in Mjölby are now looking for a creative industrial designer that wants to join us in creating Toyota Material Handling Europe's future products.
As a designer at TMHE, you are involved in the whole design process. You are going to have an extensive cooperation with R&D, product management and marketing departments as well as our factories. The work offers a broad range of responsibilities.

Your most important tasks will be:

* To create, implement and secure product design into TMHE's product ranges as well as creating concepts of the future.
* Creation of sketches and 3D for feasible concepts and detailed design definitions.
* Responsible for design issues in development projects and supporting TMHE's DR process (Design Review).
* Considering the function, aesthetics, production costs, and usability of products and ensure alignment with branded strategies.

Desired Skills and Experience

* We expect you to have at least 1-2 years' working experience as a designer.
* Experience of design within automotive, industrial vehicle industry is an advantage, also if you have been working with interior design and man-machine-interaction.
* You have a master's degree (or bachelor's degree) as an industrial designer, product designer or transportation designer.
* You can CAD/3D as Alias, Blender or similar software are proficient in Adobe suite, sketches on paper as well as digital.
* As a person you are open minded, creative and driven and have a passion for form and colour.
* You must be able to work in a high tempo without sacrificing structure and accuracy.
